Nancy Nguyen Co of Cam Ranh Bay Restaurant in Banner Elk is a native of Vietnam. Nancy grew up in Cam Ranh Bay with her parents and eight brothers and sisters. Her father worked with the United States military forces. When Nancy came to America she was sponsored by an American family. After working in a restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts, Nancy saved a little at a time, and then she came to North Carolina. Nancy has run restaurants in Kingsport, TN and here in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Nancy says she was so happy to relocate to Avery County, NC because she feels this is a better place to raise children than in a big city. Tokyo Express currently is a family-owned restaurant that can scratch any itch for lunch, dinner, large party or catering needs.
