Banner Elk is located in the northwest mountains of North Carolina known as the North Carolina "High Country." In the summer, Banner Elk is air conditioned by nature. Fall brings cool weather and the changing of the leaves.Winter brings cold weather, and the opening of the ski resorts. Serenity Haven Cabin Rental has spectacular views of Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Grandfather Mountain. Located about 1.5 miles from LeesMcRae College. 4 miles from Beech or Sugar Mountain Ski Resorts , making us the perfect choice for ski accommodations. It is within minutes of golf courses, trout fishing, and scenic attractions such as Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, The Blowing Rock, Lynn Cove Viaduct, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Horn in the West outdoor drama. It is approximately 20 minutes from the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games site. Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock have an abundance of shopping. We are an ideal choice of lodging for all your High Country fun!

Serenity Haven Main Cabin

Consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths.
It will sleep 8 comfortably. The bedrooms are carpeted.
The kitchen and baths have ceramic tile floors.
The living room has beautiful hardwood floors with area rugs.
Ceiling fans are throughout the house.
This cabin features a gas fireplace, washer, dryer, microwave,
two color TV's with cable, a jacuzzi, full covered porch with
rocking chairs and swing. There is also a gas grill for spring and summer use.
The cabin has a beautiful wood ceiling in the great room.
There is an outside HOT TUB for the main cabin.

Serenity Haven Lower Level Has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath. Sleeps 8 comfortably. It has a queen bed in each of the bedrooms. There is also a set of bunk beds. The living room has a sleeper sofa. Living, dining and kitchen area are one large open space. There is a separate utility room with washer and dryer. The kitchen is equipped with an abundance of cabinets, microwave, coffee maker, and cable color TV. There is a porch with a table, chairs, swing and a grill is available. There is an outside HOT TUB for the lower level.

We would like for 2 or more families to come together to rent
Serenity Haven. Maybe, bring grandpa and grandma along.

Both the MAIN and LOWER cabin can be rented together
for larger family get-togethers, or reunions. (There ARE NO INSIDE STAIRS
that connects MAIN and LOWER--The stairs are on the outside)

The Main and Lower are two separate units.
We want Serenity Haven Cabin Rentals
to be treated with respect
so others will be able to have a nice,
clean retreat in the Mountains.

SMOKING: Serenity Haven is a smoke free cabin. We do not allow smoking inside the cabins, though smokers are welcome to step outside and enjoy the view.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT: You may check in after 3:00 P.M. on the day of your
scheduled arrival or as soon as the cabin is ready. Check out time is 11:00 A.M. on
the final day of your stay.

RATES FOR THE MAIN CABIN: Regular (2 day minimum)--$175.00 per night for
capacity.(8) $1000.00 weekly. Ask about sleeping bags for children 10 and under above
capacity.

HOLIDAY: (3 day minimum)--$200.00 per night for capacity. (Thanksgiving, Easter,
Presidents' Day Weekend, Martin Luther King, Labor Day, July 4th, Grandfather
Mountain Highland Games) If rented for the week, the regular $1000.00 weekly price
applies.

RATES FOR THE LOWER LEVEL: Regular (2 day minimum)--$135.00 per night for
capacity.(8) $700.00 weekly. Ask about sleeping bags for children 10 and under above
capacity.

HOLIDAY: (3 day minimum)--$150.00 per night for capacity. (Thanksgiving, Easter,
Presidents' Day Weekend, Martin Luther King, July 4th, Labor Day, Grandfather
Mountain Highland Games) If rented for the week, the regular $700.00 weekly price
applies.

RESERVATIONS: Reservations can be made by telephone or E-mail. There is a 2
night minimum stay. Personal checks, certified checks or money orders should reach
us within 7 days of you telling us you want to reserve. One half (excluding tax) should
be sent. Payment of remainder can be paid by personal check (if received within 3 weeks
of arrival), cash or certified check. Reservations made less than one week of arrival can
be made by credit card, and paid by cash upon check-in. There is a $50.00 linen/clean
fee for the Main Cabin and $35.00 for the Lower Level that is not refundable.

TELEPHONE: There is a telephone for local calls.
Calling cards must be used for toll calls.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: There is a $100 security deposit for each unit. This will cover
violations of the smoking and pet policy, damage to the cabin, or theft. The full amount
of damage or repair is the responsibility of the renter. This security deposit is refundable within 30 days of stay, if cabin is ok.

BANNER ELK can and does have snow in the winter months.

Because of possible winter conditions it is encouraged that you have 4 wheel drive or tire chains when you rent in mid-December, January, February, and possibly early March. This can help ensure that you might not have to walk a short distance to the cabin.

Oh, but think how nice it is to get there and warm up, set in the hot tub
and see what's happening in the valley below!

ELIZABETHTON, JOHNSON CITY, KNOXVILLE, TN: Follow HWY. 19-E into North Carolina. Turn LEFT onto HWY. 194. Follow this road 6 miles until you pass a private airport runway on your right. Turn LEFT into mini-storage 1/4 mile past the airport. Go 200 yards to a gravel road on the left. Turn LEFT here and take the first paved driveway on the RIGHT past the old barn. This is where you pick up the keys unless you have made prior plans to pick them up at the cabin.

WINSTON SALEM, GREENSBORO, RALEIGH NC: HWY. 421-N. to Boone. Turn LEFT onto HWY. 105, 1/4 mile past the Toyota dealership on your right. You will come 1 mile to HWY. 321. Continue straight ahead, passing the WENDY'S on your left. Follow the directions from WENDY'S IN BOONE below.

HICKORY, CHARLOTTE: HWY. 321-N. to Boone. Pass Boone Mall to HWY. 105. Turn LEFT at WENDY'S onto HWY. 105. Follow directions from WENDY'S IN BOONE below.

GREENVILLE, SPARTANGURG, SOUTH CAROLINA and ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Follow HWY. 221 N. through Marion, NC and into Linville, NC. At the stoplight in Linville, turn LEFT onto HWY. 105. Follow HWY. 105, 4 miles to the stoplight. Turn left onto HWY. 184. Follow directions in **red.

WENDY'S IN BOONE: Follow HWY. 105, 17 miles to stoplight past Eckerd's Drug Store on right, and Lowe's Foods on the left. Turn RIGHT onto HWY 184, Follow directions in **red.

**Drive 4 miles to stoplight in Banner Elk. Turn LEFT onto HWY. 194. Drive 1 1/2 miles. (You will pass LeesMcRae College on your left and the road to Ski Beech on your right.) After you have driven 1 1/2 miles from the stop- light in Banner Elk, you will see some mini-storage buildings on your right. Turn RIGHT into them and drive 200 yards. Turn LEFT
onto the gravel road. Take the first paved drive past the old barn. This is 676 Old Turnpike Road West. This is where you pick up the keys unless you have made prior plans to pick them up at the cabin. The cabin is the next drive on the right past 676 Old Turnpike Rd. Turn right and come through the 2 rock columns. The cabin is the 2nd house on the left. When you get there, the lower driveway is parking for the Lower. The Parking is above the house for the Main Cabin.
