Biographical Sketch
Patricia Daniels has been face painting since 1998. A friend and inspiration introduced her to this part time activity. The general manager of Emerald Mountain on Beech Mountain, North Carolina hired Patricia Daniels as a face painter for her annual event, The OZ Festival held every first weekend in October at Emerald Mountain Development. Patricia really shines at this venue; she adds simple props that are given with the painted face.
Recently Patricia attended the National Face Painting convention in Orlando, Florida. This was the introduction Patricia needed to explore the options available to her through face painting. The OZ event was demonstrated at the convention by Patricia and friends, which was very well received.
Perennial gardening, volunteering in the arts, and travel planning, are a few of the activities Patricia is involved in. Spring of 2006 Patricia put together a one-week sailing tour in Belize. Face painting on the sailboat, and entertaining children in Mayan villages just expanded her horizons in the world of travel and face painting.
While Living and working in Banner Elk, North Carolina, for over 30 years, Patricia raised a family and started her own business, Wraps Box & Ship. Jereme, Trish’s son manages her business, which she started over 25 years ago. Jereme’s presence at Wraps has enabled her the freedom from the storefront. Wraps has a motto; “We ship anything that doesn’t eat even if it used to”.
